(eufrika) – South Africa’s Science and Technology Minister Naledi Pandor announced on Tuesday that a new drug to treat Malaria will start clinical trials. What is special about this new drug is that it promises to cure all strains of malaria with a single dose. If this proves to be true during the clinical trials it will be a breakthrough in the fight against a disease that kills a million people a year in Africa alone.
