Increasing pressure on Paul Kagame
Al Jazeera and several international news agencies have been reporting that Paul Kagame’s government in Kigali has recently been put under increasing pressure by the international community.
Kigali is accused of being involved in the current conflict in the DRC’s Kivu regions. Meanwhile three governments, namely the Dutch, German and the British have suspended at least parts of their aid payments on which the Rwandan national budget depends to a high extend. With that the pressure on Kagame to distance the Rwandan government from the ongoing warfare increases.
