Split among Egyptian society after life sentence for Mubarak

An Egyptian court has sentenced the country’s late president Hosni Mubarak to life in prison. The judges found him guilty for collaborating in the killings of protestors during last year’s mass demonstrations in Egypt. Meanwhile the judgment incurred Mubarak-critics’ and opponents’ displeasure. Supporter for their part find the life sentence to harsh and demand a milder penalty. Whatever, Mubarak is the first former leader in North Africa who got tried personally since the beginning of the Arab Spring.
